About us

In Catalan culture, we find els castells (castle, human towers). The casteller squads have been challenging each other to build the tallest castle since the early 19th century. Achieving an eleven-meter-high human tower is a colossal challenge that requires teamwork, collaboration and, above all, trust in each other. Everyone has a role. Everyone is important and everyone is needed in the search for balance, support and commitment to achieve the goal. A broad, solid and interconnected base is required. The squad needs to work united to make to have a good trunk. It is quite moving to observe the process. The result is always impressive.

InGenis is about people and everything we can achieve together. We start from the premise that we all have talents. That we are all needed to build a broad and solid foundation that will help us grow collectively. Just as the casteller squads. Our activities are aimed at empowering people through knowledge. We want them to contribute, to participate, to trust themselves because where there is collective growth there is personal growth. But it’s not always the other way around.

At InGenis, we encourage participation and collaboration among children. And to do so we innovate with tools that help them think critically, understand how things work, work as a team, resolve conflicts, be able to express their ideas well and better, and increase self-esteem to drive their proposals. At InGenis we also help professionals and entrepreneurs to grow with networking meetings and activities aimed at promoting their activity and the exchange of knowledge.

We help companies achieve their goals in a participatory way so that people engage and own the results. InGenis seeks to share knowledge to foster dialogue among members of a community by stimulating personal, family, professional and business growth initiatives. We want to build together the highest knowledge castle with the strongest base.

Learning is fun

At InGenis we firmly believe that Learning is fun. Because we have lived this way, this is what we have learned and this is how we want to convey it. Learning is fun is our motto and guiding principle when we design our activities. Any discipline can be learned thanks to the interaction, the experience that manipulation involves, and the discovery of 'touching' the elements and their reactions and, ultimately, the fun which involves experiencing it directly.

Providing a fun, learning experience is what we strive for regardless of age. For children and young adults, each activity seeks to strike the AHA! moment. When it comes to professionals, entrepreneurs and businesses we have some serious fun. We provide tools for a participative and engaging encounter where serious business is achieved. And where all participants own the outcome.

What do we do at InGenis?

Our trajectory in the education sector began in 2004. At that time, our efforts focused on strengthening our position as developers of educational content for interactive digital whiteboards. We also offered tailor made courses in communication skills for individuals and groups.

For the past seven years, InGenis Group has consolidated two areas of business: (1) educational leisure (edutainment) activities for children from ages 3 to 16 years using LEGO® bricks and elements, Makeblock and Learning Resources robots, and (2) services and consulting for professionals and businesses. In 2018, we expanded and reorganized our portfolio of services. Under the umbrella of InGenis Group, we promote four brands focused on different interest groups:

komvos

For families, freelance professionals, entrepreneurs and businesses

AHA STEAM

For children and young adults

Engage

For freelance professionals, entrepreneurs and businesses

TreeHouse

For children and young adults with special needs

Headquarters of the activities of our group. We offer spaces for rent for individuals, professionals, entrepreneurs and companies.
Komvos is a multi-functional venue, a space where people can grow collectively, through synergies and connections between them. It is about building bridges between individuals. Although knowledge reverts individually to each individual, the focus is on the collectivity and what affects the community as a whole. Our goal is to conceive a space in which the main axis is to share knowledge and culture, contribute, participate, innovate and contribute ideas. Komvos is an innovative concept in Barcelona, as it brings a 360º vision to the idea of knowledge exchange.

RIt represents a universe in itself, a physical location that serves as a platform to promote individual or collective initiatives and promote them in an open, flexible and dynamic framework. At Komvos the youngest talent finds a space to learn and share experiences. Professionals, nomad entrepreneurs and companies find a space to share and find inspiration. Komvos seeks to make an impact in our society through various training and outreach activities for our stakeholders. More information: Espai Komvos

A.H.A! STEAM moment: A moment of inspiration and of sudden understanding experienced by a student during our STEAM activity.

STEAMer: A student that engages in our STEAM activities.

Nowadays, learning science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) is exciting and engaging, and much more fun than what we were taught when we were little.

The activities proposed by A.H.A! STEAM™ are aimed at sharing STEAM concepts with students via discovery through creative play. Educational play is used as a learning tool while stimulating curiosity. Play combines logic and reasoning with fun and imagination to generate new and amazing ideas. When experiencing an A.H.A! STEAM moment, the expression of satisfaction is shared by all because STEAMers work as a team, strengthen their self-esteem and share the goals they have achieved.

Our edutainment activity is stimulating and fun. Our activities begin by assessing the students' construction and logical reasoning abilities by working with LEGO® elements. We reinforce fundamental skills that are common when building and programming robots: how to follow instructions, take care of detail, identify patterns and solve problems by breaking them down into smaller problems. When students feel confident and agile in building models, they will be ready to continue creating through programming.

Our program offers a progression in learning programming concepts as students advance a level. We enrich our students' experience with different types of robots from Learning Resources, Makeblock, Micro: bit Educational Foundation, and Turing Tumble so that students can experiment with new building and programming elements.
